Vigan, Ilocos Sur Festival

Image
In Vigan, Ilocos Sur, the street is filled with a really big and exciting parade. People are walking together holding a banner while a huge crowd lines the sides of the road. The old Spanish-style houses make the place look really historic, and the bright sky makes everything feel really alive and festive. Another group is marching in traditional brown and cream clothes, moving in sync like they practiced a lot. Their faces look really proud and serious, like they are representing their culture with honor. The crowd watching them looks really amazed and happy, showing how much this event really matters to the community. Then there are dancers wearing red, white, and beige outfits, moving with strong and graceful steps. They look really confident and joyful, like they are telling a story through their movements. Overall, the whole scene feels really colorful, really powerful, and really full of Ilocano pride and tradition.

Quarter 3 Reflection

a. This third quarter, I really learned how to manage my time better, speak up more in class, and handle schoolwork with more confidence. I discovered that I can do well even when things get hard if I try and stay focused. b. The challenges I faced were stress, many deadlines, and feeling tired and unmotivated sometimes. It was really hard when projects and exams all came at once. c. I handled these by making a schedule, doing tasks step by step, and asking for help from my teachers and friends. Taking breaks and resting also helped me stay calm. d. Moving on, I will be more disciplined, believe in myself, and work harder to reach my goals. I will really try to stay positive and never give up.

Rizal’s greatest contribution to Philippine society

José Rizal is often called the face of the Philippines because his influence goes far beyond history books. His greatest contribution to Philippine society was helping Filipinos recognize their own worth at a time when they were taught to feel inferior. Living under Spanish colonial rule, many Filipinos had accepted injustice as normal. Rizal challenged this mindset by showing that Filipinos were capable of thinking critically, loving their country deeply, and demanding dignity as human beings. Through his novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, Rizal gave a voice to the struggles of ordinary Filipinos. Instead of writing abstract arguments, he created characters and stories that reflected real experiences abuse by friars, corruption in government, and suffering caused by inequality. These works allowed readersto see themselves in the stories, making the injustices impossible to ignore. In doing so, Rizal did not simply criticize the system; he encouraged people to question it an...
